Let me know if you're looking for more. -dp ---- The Grid Operations Center at Indiana University (iGOC) supports multiple grids including the iVDGL Grid3[1] and the Open Science Grid Integration Testbed[2]. Additionally, co-support of the ATLAS Data Challege with Brookhaven National Lab was successfully accomplished. The iGOC is an active participant in the development of operations and security models for the nascent Open Science Grid. The iGOC is the hub of communication, problem coordination, problem solving and provisioning activities for supported grids. It works to solve technical and non-technical issues with close collaboration among disparate individuals using community building methods. The iGOC coordinates daily operational details of the grid infrastruture and provides the glue for monitoring and status instrumentation that allows a big picture of the grid infrastruture and it's state. Grid technologies are rapidly being developed and deployed. Effective grids must provide methods for the people using and supplying resources and applications to work in a connected and coordinated fashion, to be aware of the status of resources and infrastructure, and to work through problems. To provide that service, a grid operations center should concentrate efforts on building and enabling support communities in addition to the traditional provisioning of support infrastructure and services.
