He needs approval from his board, which he will seek, but he's interested in being an unfunded collaborator on the iSERVO proposal. Specifically, he'd very much like to see some of the CIG software put into the portal. To start with, these would be tecton and the mantle convection code. He's interested in starting out with the mantle convection code as we did for geofest. First build it on different machines that can be selected through the portal and supply a set of input decks that can be modified by the user. Then improve the functionality such as going to IRIS for tomography models, etc. I suggested that Geoffrey could take a crack at the letter, which he could modify. So, assuming approval by the CIG executive committee there would be another prominent collaborator. Andrea
